AUSZUG für den Gästebereich! Alaska-Railroad (ARR) - hier: 0-Modelle EMD F7 von MTH

wer als US-0-Bahner "Alaska" bevorzugt, wird bei der Suche nach entsprechenden Modellen der EMD F7 leider bei ATLAS 2Rail nicht fündig. Man muss zurückgreifen auf 3Rail-Modelle, um diese zu "konvertieren" (d. h.: umzubauen auf 2Rail).

Attraktive Modelle hat US-Hersteller MTH herausgebracht (sie werden als F3 ausgewiesen, sind aber F7-Loks, denn die ARR hatte keine F3 und zudem tragen die MTH-Modelle Betriebsnummern der Vorbild-F7).

If you prefer "Alaska" as a US-0 railroader, you will not find what you are looking for in the corresponding models of the EMD F7 at ATLAS 2Rail. You have to resort to 3Rail models to "convert" them (i.e. to convert to 2Rail).
The US manufacturer MTH has released attractive models (they are shown by MTH as F3, but they are F7 locomotives, because the ARR did not have any F3 and the MTH models have ARR-company numbers from the prototype F7).

nun wurde auch die zweite (motorisierte) MTH-3Rail-F7-A-Unit # 1518 konvertiert durch kompletten Einbau eines ATLAS-2Rail-Fahrwerks (DCC + Sound).
Licht ist allerdings (noch) nicht installiert.
Die MTH-Faltenbälge mussten bei beiden A-Units in der Tiefe gekürzt werden, da sonst die 2Rail-Scale-Kupplungen nicht packten.

now the second (motorized) MTH-3Rail-F7-A-Unit # 1518 has been converted by completely installing an ATLAS-2rail chassis (DCC + Sound).
However, light is not (yet) installed.
The depth of the MTH bellows had to be shortened for both A-Units, otherwise the 2Rail-Scale couplings would not pack.
